TUTORIAL

CYBERABSTRACTS offers access facilities, including browsing different topics categories and subcategories, or searching by keywords in the database. This portal provides two advanced technology search engines:

    • The first, located on the top right corner of the pages, implement a free search through any word of the records. It is an easy-to-use searching engine, to which one has only to insert the wanted words. The system provides a big amount of records, fitting a general search.
    • The second is an advanced search engine allowing for searches by different fields (author, title, keywords, assessment…). Besides in the author and keyword fields more than a search term detached by ";" (semicolon) may be inserted. This manner the choices and probabilities of finding the term are surveyed by one, two or more searching fields, and within the same procedure one can combine different options: author, title and keyword, or author, keyword and assessment, for example. The user may accede to a controlled listing of keywords helping to guide the better search and the bigger pertinence. Therefore, this search engine enables the best search by means of much defined criteria.

Search engines are not case sensitive and/or accents discriminator, providing the same results regardless of the way the word is written.

The retrieved information is arranged by relevance and/or resource quality. Each record provides the following information: bibliographic reference, abstract, keywords and global assessment. The domain assessment can be consulted if necessary, when the users need more information.
